Central Florida is home to endless sunshine, Disney World, and a warm tropical climate you’ll be able to enjoy all year long. But while the idea of calling Florida home year-round almost always sound appealing on the surface, actually making the move here can definitely sometimes like a daunting task.
Let’s face it, moving anywhere at any time isn’t exactly fun, and that’s especially true if you’re planning a long distance move from out-of-state. Believe it or not, though, most people find moving to the Sunshine State during the summer months to be much less stressful, even despite the hot 90+ degree temperatures making things a little more, well, hot.
We know—that has to almost seem impossible to believe, but here are just 3 quick reasons why it really is true…
Spring Break Season is Over
If you live anywhere in Florida, March and April can be pretty hectic with all the extra spring break activity and traffic, which probably makes this the worst time of the year to make a move.
The Snow Birds Have Left
As soon as late-spring or early summer arrives, snow bird migrate back to their homes up north, making the summer months in Florida quite pleasant. There’s always much less traffic, grocery stores and restaurants aren’t quite as crowded, and it’s really just a much more laid back time of the year in general, which makes it the perfect time to deal with the stress of moving to another home.
The Kids Are on Summer Break
What does this mean exactly? Well, when it comes to moving furniture and carrying heavy boxes, chances are you’re going to need all the help you can get. And with the kiddos out of school, they’re sure to be around to do a lot of the heavy lifting!
You’ll Be All Moved In Before Winter
One of the biggest advantages to living in Florida is enjoying the warm weather be get all winter long. So why not take advantage and be all settled into your new place before colder weather hits, and before all the snowbirds come back down for the season?
