Is Orlando The Right Place For You?

Orlando, Florida is the premier destination in the United States for owning a residential or vacation home. Of course, one of the reasons this wonderful city stands above the rest is its gigantic tourism industry. In terms of amusement parks, Orlando is home to the Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, and SeaWorld. Orlando also offers up pristine golf courses, world class dining, music venues that attract some of the most popular artists on the charts today, and a variety of shopping malls that contain everything from knick-knacks and bargains to Armani Suits or diamonds from Tiffany & Co. And all this takes place in a warm, subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 78F. That’s just the tip of the iceberg of what Orlando has to offer you as a resident or vacationing homeowner.

A Growing City And Thriving Ecomony

With a city population of over 225,000 and a metropolitan population just over two million, Orlando is the fifth largest city in Florida. Even at this size, it’s still one of the fast growing cities in the United States. According to Forbes Magazine, what makes Orlando such a thriving city is that it’s a “tech hub with proximity to university and a healthy increase in population.” Orlando has the seventh largest research park in the country and 13.4 billion dollar technology industry that is powered by companies like General Electric, Hewlett-Packard, Boeing, and Lockheed-Martin. And the next generation to work in this technologically savvy industry is wide array of quality public and private schools throughout the metropolitan area.

Great Schools And Education

As a resident, you are guaranteed to find the schools that are the best fit for your family. Orlando is not lacking when it comes to higher education as well. The University of Central Florida, or UCF, is stationed here in Orlando and is one of the largest universities in the nation. Another example of a quality learning program here is Full Sail University. Full Sail is a private university that offers degrees in fields such as entertainment business, computer animation, graphic design, video game design, audio recording, and film.

Now Is The Time To Buy In Orlando

Now you may feel that Orlando is just a place to retire to, and it is. But Orlando is actually quite a young town, with 1/3 of the residents being under 25 and 70% being under 45. Rich in cultural diversity, Orlando is a town that caters to any person at any age, and now is the time to own a residential or vacation home in this warm Florida metropolis. Home values are still low, and you have the opportunity to get a foreclosed or reduced-price home now before the value jumps back up again. Another wise investment for a home would be preconstruction homes in planned communities. You have the ability to get in at the beginning of the development and lock your price in low. Then you can sit back and watch the value rise well above what you paid as the construction gets completed. If you’re looking for a vacation or residential home that is a good move and wise investment, you don’t have to look farther than Orlando.
